New Chapter! But first...

Hello Again :-)

Yes, so much has changed since my last personal blog post on here. It has been yet again, nearly 2 years! So much to say and not sure exactly where to begin. And so I shall...
Life comes together so funnily sometimes. For me, when I have an idea, I move fast! There is no stopping me and I will go to great lengths at times to achieve any goal. But the reality of it is so humbling. Things are currently moving much slower than I anticipated, but it is actually working to my advantage because I have been learning so much more about myself and my values. The relationship I have with myself has grown so much in these last couple years. I value and appreciate how slow things actually do go, so that I can continue learning along the way.
For context, I would like to recap the last 5 years or so of my life, somewhat briefly.

I was shocked they asked me to give the graduate commencement speech!
I went back to school in September 2021 to work on a Master's degree to become a substance use counselor. I never researched where my future could take me, and had simply decided to enroll so I could help others. It was a few months into the program when I found out that I had to become licensed through the state; I did not know what I was getting myself into at all!
Naturally, one step led to the next and so on. I ended up moving out on my own again after living with my mother for almost 4 years. I met an amazing man in school and we became engaged and moved in together. I got my SUD license, bought a house, and started my training to obtain my clinical counselor license to become a therapist. Also during this time, I had gotten a creative studio space for and started my own business. I don't know about you, but for me, it's hard to do multiple things at once like a full-time career and starting a business. I didn't really know what I was doing and I still have much to learn.

In April 2025, I decided I wanted to devote my free time to music. Quickly, I realized that this would not be possible due to health issues that I had been ignoring which impacted my ability to sing. I had post nasal drip which was caused by relationship stress, silent reflux, and allergies. My voice would often cut out and it was absolutely devestating to me when I would try to record music. I had to give up recording due to how distressed it made me. I was beyond sad. But instead of fully give it up, which I never will because there is a desire so deep, I decided to write instead. This truly filled my cup and I had never been as focused as I was during that time. What a blesSing!
I did not mention this previously, but I had also been struggling with my health for many years prior, since around the time I stopped being bulimic, got sober, and went vegan. All of those things happened within 4 months of each other in 2019. Since then (nearly 7 years!!), I would struggle with extreme fatigue and headaches midday but had no idea why. I had honestly ignored it for years and just powered through. My lab tests were always clear. But in April 2026, through the use of AI, I realized I have reactive hypoglycemia, which I now manage through eating primarily fat and protein, in order to prevent sugar crashes. Yes, I had to eat meat again, but only fish and chicken- no red meat or other birds (I love ducks and turkeys in such a spiritual way). And yes, I had to have caffeine again. Caffeine helps prevent headaches I would get from hypoglycemia. I don't know how it works, just that it does and I am thankful! Even though I would prefer not to have it. I am feeling beyong better and so happy I am able to manage symptoms well most days.

Just this last week, I earned my LPCC license to become a licensed therapist. I did it! It took nearly 5 years, but I have learned so much along the way. I have truly been healing myself during this time as well. I have my Venus, Pluto, Moon, and Mercury all in Scorpio, and my Mars and Jupiter in Pisces, so I am constantly investigating, thinking, reflecting on life and emotions and how I can grow and improve. I amso grateful for that!
I recently experienced what you might call another spiritual awakening, where things truly clicked for me. The best way I can describe it is like, I knew some of these things, but now I know. Ya know? IDK. :) I am so excited for this new chapter of life where I will be able to share my music and continue to heal my fear of being seen, because sharing this is beyond me. I truly hope to help others reflect and heal on their journeys too!
I know I probably left a lot out (I did), but this is the majority of the last two years. I always have good intentions to blog and I really like it, but I struggle with consistency. No excuses from me this time. It's the way it is.
If you are reading this far, I love you!
Keep rising!
